Penfield Webster EMS

Since 1966, Penfield Volunteer Emergency Ambulance has been dedicated to serving the community with professional care and dedication. For six decades, our teams have responded to emergencies for those who live, work, and visit Penfield, and have also supported surrounding communities through mutual aid. As we mark our 60th anniversary, we reflect on a rich history of service that has continually grown to meet the needs of our community. In the first year of operation, responding to 160 calls, and now expanding, with over 11740 calls answered in 2025 alone.

In early 2025, our organization assumed a new responsibility. At the request of the Town of Webster, PVEA assumed full emergency medical coverage for both West Webster and East Webster. This expanded responsibility has led PVEA to the conclusion to include both towns in representation. With this comes a new identity: Penfield Webster Emergency Medical Services (PenWebEMS). This name represents the communities we serve today and our continued commitment to both Penfield and Webster.

Our expansion into Webster builds upon an already strong and established relationship with the West Webster Fire Department, and we look forward to continuing that collaboration each day in the field. We are equally committed to building new partnerships with the Northeast Joint Fire District / Webster Fire Department and the Webster Police Department as we move forward together.

Residents of both Webster and Penfield are invited to participate in our regularly scheduled CPR classes free of charge, with an option for discounted certification cards where applicable. Community members are always welcome to visit our base for immediate first aid assistance or blood pressure screenings. In case of medical emergencies, please remember to dial 911 promptly.
