Sports Physical Therapy of NY
The Webster Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August 2016 is Sports Physical Therapy of NY. Sports PT was founded by Lynn Steenberg in July 2005 with the objective of providing superior outpatient physical therapy services across New York State. Using evidence-based treatment, Sports PT’s clinical team helps people improve motion, reduce pain and swelling, increase muscle strength, improve endurance, restore function, and prevent re-injury.

Their goal is to put care in motion. It’s not just a motto, it’s a way of life. They go above-and-beyond whether it’s helping patients recover from pain or injury, creating a place where employees can flourish, or giving back to our communities. Some of the many ways Sport PT gives back to the Webster Community is by being involved in the community they serve. They have been a member of the Chamber for many years attending networking events and monthly breakfast meetings and have volunteered to host a Chamber Networking Happy Hour in October. They understand that being active Chamber members increases their exposure to other local business owners. Community involvement is as much a part of the Sports PT culture as therapeutic exercises. They are proud to support the following groups and activities:
American Red Cross, Medical Ministries International, American Heart Association, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Toys for Tots, Run4life.org, Traumatic Brain Institute at Fort Drumm and many others.
Sports PT feels honored and privileged to have served over 1 million patients since its inception. They are especially proud of the educational efforts they are committed to. It is rare not to find a physical therapy student in one of their clinics, or one of their staff conducting education for the community. Sport PT knows people have a choice in whom they select for their healthcare and they are humbled by the people who have allowed them to partner with their rehabilitation.
