Dancing with Denise
Dancing with Denise was established in 1985 when owner/teacher Denise Baller taught dance to children in over 40 daycare centers around the Rochester area. As her students grew up, she opened the dance studio to add evening and Saturday classes for her students who were then in elementary school and beyond. Her mission is to provide activity through dance and Zumba for all age groups including children and senior citizens in a fun-filled atmosphere while enhancing the participant’s self-esteem like:
- Holding our annual dance recital
- Hosting birthday parties
- Friday Family Fun Nights
- Kids’ Date Night with Miss Denise
- Tea parties
- Zumba classes for students of all ages
Dancing with Denise is well known for promoting fun, good health, and confidence in a non-pressure, non-competitive environment. Denise relocated her business to Gravel Road in Webster in 2013 and has become a very active member of the Webster Community and the Chamber of Commerce. She also donates her time to have her students participate in various activities like:
- Marching in local parades
- Webster Good Neighbor Days
- Participating in Sea Breeze Dance Days
- Providing entertainment at farmer’s markets
Denise also donates her time to teach Zumba to kids at Holy Cross, teaches at asthma camp – designed to teach children with asthma that it is OK to exercise and holds classes for children with special needs. Dancing with Denise has hosted the Moscow Ballet since 2006 and coordinates an annual trip to New York City. She also is currently a mentor for the Webster Young Entrepreneur’s Academy and participated in a career day at Spry Middle School.
