Gordon's Grooming & Training
Gordon Clarke was raised training and breeding hunting dogs, so he became a certified trainer many years ago. After a long career as a chef and restaurant owner, he decided it was time to go completely to the dogs. He returned to school in March of 2014 to be certified at the Rochester Institute for Dog Grooming. He originally opened the business in Ontario Center, but being a Webster Village resident for 30 years, he longed to move the business into the village. Two years ago, a perfect location became available and he quickly moved to 159 West Main Street and opened up his new shop. He is currently expanding the business and adding another groomer. His prediction is his business will continue building and he will outgrow even his current location.
Gordon's Grooming & Training prides itself on providing a clean, low stress environment for all dog breeds' and their various grooming needs. They do show cuts, pet cuts, puppy cuts, baths and nails. Although he is no longer available to the public for training, he is happy to give advice and referrals to other trainers. Gordon loves helping dog owners care for their furry beasts that they love. Moreover, he gets to be with dogs all day! has been an active assistant scoutmaster and scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America for the last 10 years. He is also a Certified Junior Small Bore Shooting Coach for the American Legion Shooting Team and the National Civilian Marksmanship Program for the last 3 years.
Gordon serve on the Board for the Webster Business Improvement District (BID) and of course takes pride in being an active member of the Webster Chamber of Commerce attending various networking events and monthly breakfasts.
