September 2025 Business of the Month

Webster NY Hope

Webster Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August 2025 Webster NY Hope

Founded by Holy Trinity Church as an outreach ministry in 1999 as Hope Ministry to provide an organized and more comprehensive way of helping people in need. Hope Ministry recognized there were unmet needs of Webster residents, and many people were struggling to get necessities like food and clothing. They operated under the umbrella of Holy Trinity until 2022, when they formed their own 501c3 and updated their name to Webster Hope.

Webster Hope’s mission continues to be to serve the needs of residents in the 14580-zip code.  Their volunteers embrace the spirit of compassion as they provide food, clothing, and household goods to those in need. With the emphasis on preventing homelessness, financial assistance is also available. All the Webster community is welcome at the home, which is located at 1450 Ridge Road.

Webster Hope doesn’t just hand out food and clothing. They meet with people individually on each visit. These conversations allow them to develop relationships with the people they serve. Through the years, Webster Hope has added household items collection, Back to School night for school supplies, and other services because of these regular talks.  Margery says the best part of being at Hope is the atmosphere of hospitality and getting to know their neighbors.

Webster Hope has one paid employee and over 100 active volunteers. They are active with scouts, sports teams, schools, churches, and other Webster charities and are always available to send a speaker to participate in community events.

The team at Webster Hope feels they experience everyday miracles on a regular basis. They have a waiting list for recipients looking for household items. One recipient requested an air purifier for a child with asthma; an item Hope has never received.  A few minutes later, a Webster donator walked in with a brand-new one. A mother needed boots for her kindergartner’s next school day so her child would be able to play in the snow with his classmates at recess. Hope had only one pair of children’s boots left, and they were the exact size needed!

Providing support for people going through hard times could be sad and depressing work, but the volunteers enjoy creating these relationships every day.  No one leaves Webster Hope empty handed; the team feels like people leave with a little bit of hope.

Please congratulate Margery Morgan and the incredible volunteer team on this well-deserved recognition.
